Time: 7:30pm Location: Saint Thomas More Academy Description: The Midnight Dreary Players of Saint Thomas More Academy welcome you to their fall production of The Spoon River Project which runs October 17, 18, 19 at 7:30 p.m. each evening. The Spoon River Project is a play with music. In this beautifully haunting play based on Edgar Lee Masters' Spoon River Anthology, the former residents of Spoon River examine life and the longing for what might have been. As the citizens reflect on the dreams, secrets, and regrets of their lives, they paint a gritty and honest portrait of the town as all of their pasts are illuminated.The outside courtyard at STMA will be transformed into the cemetery of the fictional town of Spoon River, IL in 1890. The Great Christmas Cookie Walk at St Andrews Lutheran Church
Time: 9 am until the cookies are gone! Location: 425 N.DuPont Hwy Dover DE 19901 Description: Saint Andrew’s Lutheran Church will be hosting their 6th Great Christmas Cookie Walk on Saturday, December 14th, 2019.rnrnThe Cookie Walk will begin at 9 am and ends when the cookies are gone. Lines form early and attendees will be invited to wait indoors. Each attendee will be offered the opportunity to purchase as many empty bakery boxes as they want. Gloves will be provided so that you can pick up your cookies. Box sizes range from small for $8, medium $14 and large $25. Boxes hold from 1 lb. to 4 lbs. of cookies. After purchasing their empty box, guests will be invited into the Great Hall to make their selections from hundreds of freshly baked, hand made Christmas cookies. At the end of the walk, boxes must close completely. rnrnPre-orders will be accepted through Thursday, December 12th. Specialty orders must be in by Saturday, December 7th. Cookie Trays will also be available for $50. Pre-orders can be picked up by appointment or on the day of the sale. rnrn“We have regularly been asked when the Great Christmas Cookie Walk might return and within minutes of reactivating our FaceBook page in June, someone asked if we were back this year” said co-founder Lori Speed. “The Cookie Walk is back for 2019 and are planning on as much variety as before”, added her partner Terri Brown. “The response is always amazing, and we see people from all over Delaware and surrounding states who choose to support our event.”rnrnOriginally designed as a fundraiser to offset the church mortgage, the Cookie Walk has grown into a major social, community event which helps the church support the greater Dover Community.
